5 Lions vs. Panthers thoughts after watching Carolina’s loss to Browns

Ahead of their upcoming matchup, a scouting review of the Detroit Lions' next opponent highlights key takeaways from Carolina's 21-18 defeat against Cleveland. The Panthers generated a 38.5 percent pressure rate overall, leaning heavily on a blitz package that produced a 55.6 percent pressure rate, while speed rushers like Princely Umanmielen pose a threat alongside interior pass rushers such as Derrick Brown.

Quarterback Bryce Young displayed strong arm talent and boundary accuracy, leading the league in passes traveling 20 or more air yards and maintaining the highest intended air yards per attempt at 10.2, though his mobility was largely reserved for passing rather than scrambling as he logged only three rushes for 16 yards and a touchdown across the season.
