2026 NLDS Series Preview: Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Diego Padres

The Milwaukee Brewers are set to begin their postseason journey in the 2026 NLDS against the San Diego Padres after San Diego eliminated the Chicago Cubs with decisive 8-0 and 4-1 victories. Both clubs finished the final two months of the regular season tied with a league-high 35 wins, though Milwaukee suffered 18 losses compared to San Diego's 17.

The Padres previously swept a three-game series against the Brewers in August, highlighted by late-inning bullpen struggles for Milwaukee. San Diego enters the matchup boasting surging bats, including Fernando Tatis Jr., Xander Bogaerts, Jackson Merrill, Ty France, and Manny Machado, all of whom delivered strong offensive performances down the stretch and into the wild-card round.
