2 Cowboys to buy, 2 to sell versus the Giants

The Dallas Cowboys travel to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, marking the start of the 2026 NFL campaign for both NFC East competitors. Scheduled for an 8:20 p.m.

ET broadcast on NBC, the primetime contest features a host of new dynamics, including New York operating under a debut head coach. New York pass rusher Brian Burns indicated the defense knows exactly which vulnerabilities to attack against Dallas, while analyst Brian Baldinger projected the Giants will dominate both fronts against a vulnerable Cowboys offensive and defensive line.

Dallas confronts immediate roster adjustments heading into the opener, having added a practice squad running back following an injury to Malik Davis. Beyond this divisional clash, opening week in sports saw notable results elsewhere, with Texas defeating Ohio State, Oklahoma State taking down Oregon, and Elena Rybakina overcoming Aryna Sabalenka.
