‘We hardly even talk about the match’ - Virat Kohli on his understanding with Shubman Gill

During India's opening one-day international against the West Indies at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill forged a massive 151-run partnership to guide their side to an eight-wicket victory. Chasing a target of 296, Gill contributed a century of 110 runs, while Kohli finished unbeaten on 139 to notch up his 55th hundred in the format and cross the 15,000-run milestone in one-day internationals.

Reflecting on their collaboration in a special video released by the board, Kohli noted that the pair shares a relaxed rapport that allows them to bypass tactical discussions in favor of casual banter while at the crease. Gill praised the senior batter's positive energy and enjoyment of the game, observing how that confidence seamlessly translates from off-field interactions to on-field performances.
