Rams' nightmare trip: Sean McVay doesn't want to play in Australia ever again after ugly Week 1 plan backfired

Following an ill-fated international journey, Sean McVay expressed a strong desire to avoid future matchups in Australia. The Los Angeles Rams opted for an unconventional schedule by landing in Melbourne a mere single day ahead of their Week 1 clash, leaving players struggling to handle a 17-hour timezone shift.

The strategy quickly unravelled during the game, which concluded in a lopsided 27-7 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, McVay jokingly compared his mindset to the memory-wiping Neuralyzer tool from Men in Black, emphasizing that he wants to move past the defeat and hopes his organization will never be scheduled Down Under again. While the Rams retain NFL international marketing rights in Australia, three alternative franchises—the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, and Las Vegas Raiders—also share access to the territory, potentially offering the league other candidates for future visits.
