Todd Monken's first outing as Cleveland's head coach ended in a lopsided 34-10 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars, dropping the franchise's opening-week record since 1999 to 3-24-1. Trevor Lawrence picked apart the defense by completing 18 of 23 throws for 245 yards and four touchdowns.

Cleveland's offense generated only 272 yards and was shut out through the first half, as Deshaun Watson absorbed five sacks while throwing for 205 yards, a touchdown, and a pick in his 20th start with the team, which also featured his biggest career deficit at 31 points.

Appearing for the first time as an analyst on NBC's "Football Night in America," former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin took aim at his old division opponent, having accumulated a 28-9-1 regular-season mark against them.
