'It's out of control': PGA Tour Champions players on golf ball rollback debate

PGA Tour Champions competitors are debating the potential for golf ball distance restrictions, with varying perspectives on the impact of modern equipment. While Scott McCarron expressed a desire to maintain current driving distances, Ernie Els argued that the game has become unrecognizable due to extreme power, suggesting that governing bodies must intervene to preserve the integrity of classic course designs.

Els specifically noted concerns that historic venues like Pebble Beach and St. Andrews risk being overwhelmed by modern hitting distances if changes are not implemented soon.

Paul Goydos also weighed in on the discussion, though he holds a different perspective regarding the necessity of lower scores.
