Erling Haaland has acknowledged that the Manchester derby scoring benchmark was actively on his mind leading up to his milestone performance. By surpassing the previous tallies established by both Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero, the striker claimed the all-time scoring lead in the fixture.

The forward conceded that awareness of the standard lingered in his thoughts prior to overtaking the totals previously set by the two former stars.
