"Getting His Reps in”: Kirk Herbstreit Drops Message on Notre Dame QB CJ Carr as Pat McAfee Loses $250,000

During a College GameDay broadcast ahead of a matchup against North Carolina, analyst Kirk Herbstreit praised Notre Dame signal-caller CJ Carr for his growth and leadership. The segment featured discussion about Carr's progress following a learning curve during his initial year as a starter under Marcus Freeman, though it also cost Pat McAfee a quarter of a million dollars due to a throwing challenge.

Carr has opened the 2026 campaign strongly with four straight wins, totaling 963 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and a single interception while completing over seventy percent of his passes.
