Experienced leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has officially stepped away from red-ball cricket after compiling 148 wickets across 49 matches. The seasoned bowler shared his decision on Instagram, marking the conclusion of a three-year spell with Northamptonshire that wrapped up with a fixture against Middlesex.
Although his ambition to secure a Test cap went unfulfilled, he expressed contentment with his multi-format career and intends to focus entirely on limited-overs competitions in ODIs and T20s. His final appearance in the longest format took place at Lord's, where he collected two scalps during the County Championship Division Two encounter.
