Yankees' Max Fried has sights set on winning the 2026 World Series: 'We didn't get here by accident'

New York Yankees pitcher Max Fried addressed reporters on Tuesday while wearing a shirt supporting teammate Cam Schlittler ahead of an upcoming postseason series against the Boston Red Sox. Fried reflected on overcoming regular-season elbow issues and expressed full confidence in the team's fully healthy starting rotation, which also includes Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón.

Drawing on his past championship experience with the Atlanta Braves and his motivation from a difficult outing against the Toronto Blue Jays during the previous postseason, Fried emphasized that the squad is entirely focused on capturing a World Series title this year.
