Wrexham suffer heaviest loss under Reynolds, Mac in West Ham rout

West Ham United surged to the Championship summit with a dominant 6-0 demolition of Wrexham on Friday at London Stadium. A record crowd of 59,712 spectators—the largest ever to attend a Wrexham match, eclipsing an FA Cup clash at Anfield against Liverpool that drew 54,096 in January 1970—watched the hosts claim their biggest triumph since September 2018.

Jarrod Bowen and Joël Piroe established a two-goal cushion by the interval, with Konstantinos Mavropanos denying George Dobson with a vital goal-line clearance when the score stood at 1-0.
