Tight end Terrance Ferguson’s return from a four-week injured reserve stint is now on the horizon, with Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay confirming he’ll be ready to contribute by Week 8. Ferguson suffered a serious ankle injury in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos, forcing his early exit and subsequent IR placement.
Though he showed flashes of potential before the setback—including a standout performance against the New York Giants with a touchdown catch and strong playmaking—his development has been inconsistent since entering the league. The Rams drafted him as a high-upside prospect, but he hasn’t yet delivered the dominant production to cement his status as an elite tight end.
With Myles Garrett also expected to bounce back from injury, the Rams are banking on Ferguson’s return to bolster their offense ahead of a Week 5 matchup against the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium, where they’ll look to build on their 44-42 victory from last December.
