Wild Card series sweep of Red Sox a showcase of Yankees' homegrown talent

The New York Yankees advanced past the Boston Red Sox in an AL Wild Card Series sweep that heavily featured homegrown talent from the organization's farm system. Director of amateur scouting Damon Oppenheimer watched prospects like Cam Schlittler and Ben Rice lead the charge, with Rice driving in six runs in Game 1 and Schlittler striking out ten batters across 6.1 shutout frames.

Several other drafted and developed players contributed significantly to the victories despite the absence of injured star Aaron Judge, demonstrating the team's ability to cultivate major league contributors without relying solely on high draft picks or free agent acquisitions.
