Golden State newcomer Yaxel Lendeborg has caught head coach Steve Kerr's attention with his relentless training habits ahead of his first professional season. Kerr revealed that he had multiple conversations urging the rookie to step away from the training facility to rest before the grueling eight-month campaign begins.
Lendeborg hopes to model his longevity after veteran Al Horford and sustain a lengthy professional career. With teammates Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody sidelined until the middle of the campaign, the former Michigan national champion is expected to see significant playing time early on.
The twenty-four-year-old previously shared the floor with Steph Curry and Draymond Green during an informal training camp in Southern California.
