Why Jemele Hill wants WNBA fans to issue an ‘apology’ to Angel Reese

Sports analyst Jemele Hill publicly demanded that basketball fans retract their prior criticism of Angel Reese following the athlete's stellar performance in Game 3. Reese contributed 22 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks to help the Atlanta Dream defeat the New York Liberty 85-83 and advance to the WNBA Finals for her first postseason appearance in the league.

During the hard-fought contest, Reese engaged in an early on-court confrontation with Jonquel Jones while also receiving support on the floor from teammates Rhyne Howard and Jordin Canada. Having faced heavy scrutiny since entering the league, the 24-year-old forward anchored her squad defensively and offensively to secure the series victory, prompting Hill to declare that many observers owe her an acknowledgement.
