This shift avoids scheduling conflicts with the nation's solemn Remembrance Day on Sunday, 27 September, which honors those who perished during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War.

Hosted at the Baku City Circuit, the revised weekend timeline features opening practice on Thursday morning at 09:30 BST, followed by Friday afternoon qualifying at 13:00 BST. The main event will officially get underway on Saturday at midday.

Saturday racing remains an unusual occurrence in the modern era of the sport, though the Las Vegas Grand Prix also utilizes a Saturday night slot.
