Why England have an obligation to prove themselves against Greece

Sarina Wiegman faces a rebuilding job after the Lionesses missed out on direct World Cup qualification following a heavy four-goal defeat to Spain earlier in the summer. Looking to rebound, the squad prepares to face Greece across a two-legged playoff in hopes of securing their spot at the tournament in Brazil.

Manager Wiegman has shaken up her roster by omitting established names like Chloe Kelly and Ella Toone in favor of form-based selections, while handing a first senior call-up to Lexi Potter and welcoming back captain Leah Williamson.
