Week 5 FCS Football Preview & Predictions

Week 5 of the FCS season features a crucial Big Sky matchup as No. 19 Northern Arizona travels to face No.

12 Idaho State. The Lumberjacks are seeking to rebound and stay competitive in the conference race, while the 4-0 Bengals look to extend their momentum behind a strong defensive unit and the conference-leading passing attack directed by quarterback Jordan Cooke.

Northern Arizona will be missing Deliyon Freeman due to an ankle injury and must contain a potent Idaho State offense featuring receiver Chedon James. Meanwhile, the Lumberjacks will lean on quarterback Ty Pennington, whose rushing ability presents a new threat against an Idaho State defense that has struggled to stop the run.
