
The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced a pair of roster adjustments on October first. Washington Sundar was withdrawn from the Twenty20 international squad to prepare for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand by playing in the upcoming Ranji Trophy matches.
Naman Dhir was selected to take his place in the shorter format group. In a separate roster change, Prasidh Krishna was ruled out of the third one-day international due to a left hamstring injury sustained during the previous match in Guwahati, with Anshul Kamboj added as his replacement for the fixture in Chandigarh.
