Warren dominates out of 'pen in possible preview of playoff role

The Yankees split a doubleheader with the Orioles by taking a 6-3 victory at Yankee Stadium, securing the fourth seed in the American League and confirming a Wild Card Series rematch against the Boston Red Sox. Manager Aaron Boone expressed his preference for hosting the matchup in the Bronx, while the team evaluates rotation options including Max Fried and Cam Schlittler for the upcoming opener.

Meanwhile, Will Warren made a strong relief appearance ahead of a planned bullpen role in October, allowing three hits and zero walks while striking out seven batters over three and two-thirds innings.
