Walt Weiss discusses bullpen deicisions and game-time injury situation for Tyler Mahle

Following a dramatic postseason matchup that forced a decisive third game in the Wild Card Series, manager Walt Weiss revealed that starting pitcher Tyler Mahle nearly missed the contest due to a pregame abdominal issue. Despite battling through the unexpected health scare right up until first pitch, Mahle delivered seven stellar innings while allowing only one run in what marked his playoff debut.

Reliever Didier Fuentes also drew attention after surrendering a crucial home run in extra innings, prompting Weiss to offer supportive perspective rooted in his own historic playing days.
