Matt Donohue, the VAR official who mistakenly allowed Erling Haaland's winning goal during the September 13 Manchester derby, is returning to Premier League action. After missing three match rounds, Donohue will act as an assistant VAR for the upcoming Saturday clash between Fulham and Coventry.
Howard Webb, the chief refereeing officer at Pro Ref, noted that Donohue suffered from tunnel vision while focusing on Haaland's position. Although Enzo Fernandez was offside and interfering with play, the goal stood despite the error. Pro Ref apologized to Manchester United for the mistake at Old Trafford.
