USC suspends Desman Stephens after late, dirty hit injured Dante Moore

Following a dangerous collision during Saturday night's contest against the Oregon Ducks, USC linebacker Desman Stephens has been handed a one-game suspension by his school. Stephens delivered a helmet-to-helmet blow to sliding opposing quarterback Dante Moore, forcing the signal-caller to leave on a stretcher and resulting in an immediate ejection for targeting.

Although the program and head coach Lincoln Riley already saw their player penalized on the field, they opted to extend the punishment through the upcoming Big Ten matchup with the Washington Huskies. Moore's availability for the next fixture remains uncertain, though former Nebraska starter Dylan Raiola stands ready to step in after helping secure Saturday's victory.
