USC football lost to Oregon in the NFL this past weekend

Former college rivals clashed at the professional level recently as Marcus Mariota guided the Washington Commanders past Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks. Mariota stepped into the starting role because Jayden Daniels was unavailable, finishing with three touchdown passes and one hundred eighty-three yards.

Darnold returned from his physical absence to record three hundred seventy-nine yards and four scores, but two crucial interceptions, including a late pick-six, proved costly. Mariota sealed the outcome with a nine-yard rush for a first down in the final period.

Meanwhile, defenders Leonard Williams and Uchenna Nwosu were unable to slow down the opposing signal-caller. This professional matchup mirrored previous collegiate struggles against Oregon for the former Trojans players.
