USC football begins to show it can correct flaws, make improvements

The USC Trojans delivered a commanding 31-23 victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions in a high-stakes road game at Beaver Stadium, silencing doubters and proving their resilience in a hostile environment. Head coach Lincoln Riley, who had faced skepticism before the matchup, celebrated the win as one of his most satisfying, with key contributions from standout freshmen like Trent Mosley and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt.

The Trojans' offense, led by quarterback Jayden Maiava, dominated Penn State's defense, which struggled to generate pressure and left their coach, Matt Campbell, frustrated by the lack of stops. Despite the win, USC remains outside the College Football Playoff conversation, though their improved performance suggests they are on the right track heading into their bye week.

The victory also sparked a viral moment as the Trojans shared a celebratory moment with their marching band post-game, adding to the emotional high of the night.
