Pakistan batsmen Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan, both under investigation by the National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over alleged leaks from the England Test tour, returned to domestic cricket and delivered strong performances in the President’s Trophy. Imam-ul-Haq scored an unbeaten 118 for OGDCL against Ghani, sharing key partnerships with Ali Asif (42) and Saad Khan (88) as his team reached 277 for 3 in their first innings.
Meanwhile, Rizwan led SNGPL’s batting with 64 runs before being dismissed, as his team was bowled out for 195 against KRL. The NCCIA probe stems from the England tour, where both players were questioned after their phones were examined for potential leaks following Pakistan’s early exit from the series.
Despite the ongoing investigation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) cleared Imam to play in domestic matches just days before his century, though no charges or disciplinary actions have been announced.
