UMass football secures first sellout in over a decade

The Massachusetts football program is experiencing a remarkable start to the 2026 college football campaign, carrying an undefeated four-game record into its upcoming matchup against Eastern Michigan. Under the direction of second-year head coach Joe Harasymiak, the squad kicked off the slate with a 37-21 upset victory over Rutgers, followed by successive triumphs against Sacred Heart, Stonehill, and Sacramento State.

Transfer quarterback William Watson III has spearheaded the offensive surge, accumulating 610 passing yards and six touchdowns through the air, alongside 154 yards and four scores rushing.

Building on this unexpected momentum, the upcoming contest is slated to draw over 17,000 spectators to McGuirk Alumni Stadium. This attendance milestone marks the program's inaugural sellout crowd since the 2014 season.

Fans looking to follow the action can catch the 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff broadcast live on ESPN+ as the team attempts to stretch its winning streak to five games.
