The Thrill and Agony: UFC Fight Night 290 winner and loser reactions

UFC Vegas 122 delivered a dramatic finale as Brendan Allen secured a hard-fought victory over Christian Leroy Duncan with a rear-naked choke in the final round, ending the bout at the buzzer. The main event saw Allen’s relentless pressure pay off after a contentious five-round struggle, including a point deduction in the first round for a foul.

Meanwhile, the co-main event featured Jai Herbert’s win, though the night also sparked controversy as Melissa Gatto criticized judges for a majority draw decision against Ernesta Kareckaite, with scores of 29-27, 28-28, and 28-28—including a lost point for Kareckaite in the opening round. The event also highlighted standout performances like Andre Fili’s knockout of Kai Kamaka III, though Fili chose not to follow up on a potential finishing blow.
