Oregon quarterback Dante Moore remains sidelined in concussion protocol and will miss this weekend's matchup against UCLA after sustaining a scary hit from USC linebacker Desman Stephens on September 26. In his absence, backup signal-caller Dylan Raiola will make his first start for the Ducks at Autzen Stadium, having previously transferred following two seasons at Nebraska.
Raiola has accumulated 413 passing yards and five touchdowns across two prior appearances this year.
Ahead of the upcoming clash between the ranked programs, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and UCLA head coach Bob Chesney have exchanged mutual respect rather than hostility. Lanning noted that Chesney reached out to check on Moore during his hospitalization in Los Angeles following the USC game.
Chesney acknowledged that the Ducks possess a complete roster with virtually no vulnerable areas as the Bruins prepare for Saturday's contest.
