Get startedTyreek Hill’s anticipated return to the NFL has been thrown into question as his civil trial, which began Tuesday, takes center stage. During testimony on Thursday, Hill admitted to pushing his ex-wife, Keeta Vaccaro, against a wall during an altercation, claiming it was self-defense after she allegedly grabbed him.
He also acknowledged threatening Vaccaro and expressing regret over recorded statements in which he suggested he could have others harm her. However, Hill denied multiple other allegations, including hitting, scratching, or spitting on Vaccaro, as well as assaulting her while she was pregnant.
The trial’s revelations complicate his prospects, as the NFL’s investigation into the abuse allegations—separate from the civil case—could lead to discipline, potentially including suspensions tied to each incident. His past legal troubles, including a 2015 guilty plea for domestic assault and a 2019 incident involving his son’s broken arm, further weigh on his credibility with the league.
With jury deliberations ongoing and the NFL’s own assessment pending, Hill’s chances of securing a team appear increasingly slim amid the controversy.
