TV series about the 1985 Chicago Bears under development

Following the recent loss of iconic coach Mike Ditka, Sunset Lane Media has optioned Rich Cohen's book Monsters: The 1985 Chicago Bears and the Wild Heart of Football to develop a new limited television series. The dramatic adaptation will be written by Daniel Kunka and directed by Steve Pink, with David Beaubaire serving as a producer for the studio.

The narrative will explore the legendary 15-1 championship squad that cruised to a Super Bowl XX victory, while also highlighting the vibrant personalities of players like Walter Payton, Jim McMahon, and William Perry alongside their famous off-field cultural moments.
