Top 3 batters to watch out for in the 1st semi-final of Asian Games 2026

Pakistan and Bangladesh prepare to clash in the opening semi-final of the Asian Games 2026 Men's Cricket Competition at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin, on October 1, 2026. Because all four quarter-finals suffered complete washouts without a single ball bowled, both squads enter this stage directly for their tournament debuts, with Pakistan holding the higher seed advantage in the event of a weather abandonment.

Key individual performers draw major attention ahead of the fixture. Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan enters the match following a record-breaking T20 World Cup 2026 campaign where he amassed 383 runs, leading a youthful squad alongside teammate Maaz Sadaqat, who boasts a 153.92 strike rate and recent centuries in CPL 2026.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will be captained by Litton Das, their all-time leading T20I run-scorer with 2,702 runs across 122 matches, though the side must cope without the services of Najmul Hossain Shanto due to a fever and infection.
