
On the same day his permanent departure from his role as chief NFL analyst for CBS was finalized, Tony Romo was competing in a PGA Tour Q-School pre-qualifying tournament located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The former quarterback entered the final round sitting tied for 45th place at 8-over par, leaving him three strokes outside the projected cutline with nine holes remaining to secure advancement.
Romo had previously been placed on indefinite leave following his arrest in Wisconsin in July on multiple charges, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated. With his broadcasting career at the network officially over, J.J.
Watt is set to finish out the current season in the primary broadcast booth alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson.
