Tony Romo was disqualified from a golf tournament, on the same day CBS announced his exit

Tony Romo and CBS announced on Friday that their partnership had ended, marking his departure as the network’s lead NFL analyst. Later that day, Romo was disqualified from a Korn Ferry Tour pre‑qualifier after signing an incorrect scorecard in the final round.

The mistake involved recording a four on both the 16th and 17th holes when he actually made five on each. The error likely stemmed from a slow‑play penalty that placed his group on a clock, but even with the correct scores Romo would not have earned a Korn Ferry Tour card.

His broadcasting future remains uncertain as he focuses on improving his golf game.
