India claimed three gold medals in a single day at the Asian Games across boxing competitions. Ankush Panghal captured the top podium spot in the men's 80kg division by defeating South Korea competitor Minseong Kim.

This triumph followed golden performances from Lovlina Borgohain and Parveen Hooda in their respective women's brackets. Lovlina marked her birthday by claiming victory over Ziyi Bao of China, securing her second Asian Games title.

Meanwhile, Parveen triumphed over Chinese Taipei's Chen Nien-chin in a closely fought bout to secure her maiden Asian Games gold.
