Despite that defensive spark and a late fourth-quarter touchdown catch by Stefon Diggs on a 12-yard pass from Jayden Daniels, the Commanders came up short in a 24-22 loss against the Eagles.

A botched two-point conversion attempt backed by head coach Dan Quinn proved costly in the final outcome.

Philadelphia relied on offensive production from Jalen Hurts and Dallas Goedert, while defensive tackle Moro Ojomo clinched the two-point victory with a decisive defensive stop late in the game. The Eagles also featured return specialist Britain Covey after promoting him from the practice squad ahead of the season opener.
