Franchises competing in both the men's and women's divisions of The Hundred can now lock in their squads for the upcoming campaign, following the official opening of the retention period. Teams are permitted to hold onto a maximum of sixteen athletes per roster, with wages remaining identical to the previous year without any mandatory salary increases.
Eligibility extends to anyone secured during the recent bidding event, even if injury or other factors prevented them from taking the field, alongside replacement competitors who featured in at least a pair of matches and participants chosen through the wildcard selection process. Once this phase concludes in the middle of January, organizations transition into a direct acquisition window allowing up to four player additions before a forthcoming bidding event in early March.
Rosters will eventually be finalized following a subsequent wildcard draft scheduled for the summer months. Matt Lewis was credited for providing photographic imagery associated with the tournament.
