Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons managed a historic five-sack performance during Saturday's matchup against Tennessee, tying a program record. Despite his defensive dominance, Simmons drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty late in the second quarter when he pretended to urinate on the field following a massive loss.
Referee Kyle Olson flagged the junior captain for simulating restroom use, which breathed new life into a Volunteers drive before the possession ultimately stalled out on downs.
The bizarre infraction failed to cost the Longhorns any points as the defense stiffened, allowing Texas to maintain a 10-3 advantage heading into halftime. Simmons, who also recorded multiple sacks earlier in the season against Ohio State and UTSA, doubled his season tally during the first half alone and finished off his record-tying day in the second half.
