Steelers trade Joey Porter Jr. to Cowboys after offseason contract talks failed

Following a breakdown in contract negotiations and a back injury, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has been sent from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2028 second-round draft choice and a 2027 sixth-round pick.

Porter missed all of training camp and preseason on the physically unable to perform list and remained inactive for the first three games of the season as talks stalled.
