Steelers rule Joey Porter Jr. out for Thursday, Jalen Ramsey questionable

Pittsburgh cornerback Joey Porter Jr. will miss his team's Thursday night matchup against the Cleveland Browns due to a lingering back ailment and ongoing conditioning hurdles.

Although he practiced fully at the start of the week, his status regressed to limited participation by Wednesday, further complicated by an unresolved contract extension standoff.

The defensive secondary faces additional doubts as Jalen Ramsey carries a questionable label after disclosing a fractured wrist, while Brandin Echols remains uncertain due to a concussion. Meanwhile, running back Rico Dowdle has officially been ruled out for his second consecutive contest because of a toe injury.
