South Carolina football news: Dylan Stewart suspended indefinitely for throwing punch at Alabama player

Following a recent defeat against the Crimson Tide, South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer expressed strong disapproval regarding an on-field incident. Edge rusher Dylan Stewart threw a punch during the contest, prompting immediate disciplinary action from the program.

As a result, the university placed Stewart under an indefinite suspension, ruling him out for the upcoming SEC matchup against Kentucky. Program leadership intends to evaluate his longer-term status within the next day or two, while the conference office may also review the matter to determine if additional penalties are warranted.
