Sophie Cunningham's Historic Off-Court Achievement Leaves NBA Stars in the Dust
Free-agent guard Sophie Cunningham achieved unprecedented social media growth over a six-month period, adding nearly three million Instagram followers between May and November. According to tracking data, her digital audience expanded at a rate superior to any of the top fifty most-followed NBA players during the same timeframe, outgaining stars such as Jalen Brunson, Victor Wembanyama, and Karl-Anthony Towns.
The surge nearly tripled her total online following, though the heightened profile has brought new challenges requiring her to hire personal security.
