Slovenia hold Scotland to draw in Pocognoli's first game in charge

Sebastien Pocognoli began his tenure at the helm of Scotland with a scoreless stalemate away against Slovenia in their opening match of the Nations League. Robbie Ure nearly marked his debut with a goal when his long-range strike rattled the woodwork before halftime, while Oli McBurnie and Kieron Bowie both failed to convert promising scoring chances after the intermission.

Slovenia also threatened through Andraz Sporar, whose early effort was nullified due to an offside call against Danijel Sturm, and Vanja Drkusic, whose header struck the frame of the goal.
