Former South Africa fast bowler Shaun Pollock has voiced his support for expanding the use of the pink cricket ball to traditional day matches, arguing it would help prevent lost playing time caused by poor visibility. Pollock, who previously served on the ICC committee that advocated for pink ball trials, believes the equipment faces an unjustified negative reputation regarding batting difficulties.
Although international governing bodies recently updated regulations to permit pink balls in certain conditions before matches begin, Pollock contends that adopting them universally would significantly extend daily playing hours.
