Serie A Matchweek 7: Can Inter, AS Roma, Como and Napoli recover after disastrous Champions League week?

Inter, who sit atop Serie A, suffered a heavy 4‑0 defeat to Club Brugge at the San Siro, seeing their lead evaporate after conceding four goals. Meanwhile, AS Roma appeared set for a comeback against Real Madrid, turning a 3‑1 advantage into a 4‑3 loss at the Stadio Olimpico, and both Napoli and Como also went down in their Champions League outings, leaving Juventus, AC Milan and Atalanta as the only Italian sides with European wins this week.

Looking ahead to Matchday 7, Juventus travel to face Lazio at the Allianz Stadium, while Inter must regroup for their clash with Bologna. Marcus Thuram is highlighted as a key player for Inter, who will also be without captain Lautaro Martínez for at least three weeks following a muscle injury sustained in the Brugge game, and coach Cristian Chivu will have to adjust his lineup accordingly.
