Scaling the Rocks: Cole Carrigg and TJ Rumfield provide hope for the Rockies

The Colorado Rockies have wrapped up their 2026 campaign with some individual accolades, highlighted by Cole Carrigg receiving the National League Rookie of the Month honor for September. This marks the third time this year a Rockies rookie collected the monthly award, following TJ Rumfield securing it twice earlier in the season.

Rumfield himself put together a historic rookie campaign after arriving via a trade from the New York Yankees, ultimately leading the National League in on-base percentage to become the first rookie to accomplish that feat in a century.
