Sanju Samson reached the 100-six milestone in T20 internationals during India's fourth match against West Indies in Hyderabad, finishing with a rapid 56 off 23 balls. His innings, which included four sixes and six fours at a strike rate of 243.48, was cut short by Keemo Paul, who took a catch near the boundary after Shimron Hetmyer's appeal.
This achievement places Samson in a select group of Indian batters who have hit at least 100 sixes in the format, joining Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Virat Kohli.
The performance highlights a strong 2026 campaign for the wicketkeeper-batter, who has accumulated 687 runs across 24 innings at an average of 29.86 and a strike rate of 178.44. His form peaked during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, where three consecutive half-centuries earned him the Player of the Tournament award and contributed to India's third title.
In his overall T20I career spanning 76 matches, Samson has scored 1,719 runs at an average of 27.28, with three centuries and ten fifties to his name.
