Chris Olave under the weather

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave missed Wednesday’s team practice ahead of Sunday’s Week 6 road game against the New York Giants, leaving his availability in doubt. The second-leading receiver in the NFL this season was listed as a non-participant on the injury report, adding uncertainty for a Saints offense already struggling to find consistency.

New Orleans enters the matchup with a 1-4 record, including a recent losing skid after an overtime defeat to the Detroit Lions in Week 1 and a narrow win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. Meanwhile, quarterback Tyler Shough received a more optimistic practice designation following concerns about his left hand injury sustained during the team’s loss to Minnesota last week.
