The sixth-ranked Indiana football program pushed its winning streak to twenty-one games by defeating Rutgers forty-seven to fifteen on Saturday evening. Turbo Richard powered the victorious offense with two hundred four rushing yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Josh Hoover contributed two hundred fifty-one yards and four scores through the air.
Lee Beebe Jr. also added a rushing touchdown, and receivers Nick Marsh and Charlie Becker each surpassed the one-hundred-yard receiving mark with scoring catches of their own.
The dominant defensive unit restricted the Scarlet Knights to just fifty-nine yards on the ground and recorded four sacks.
Rutgers struggled offensively after starting quarterback Dylan Lonergan departed during the second period due to an injury, finishing the contest with AJ Surace under center. Ben Black III and Clay Thevenin managed scoring plays for the visiting side, which dropped its fourth game of the season.
Indiana established a season-high with five hundred ninety-three total yards of offense and will hit the road next week to face Nebraska, while Rutgers prepares for a matchup against Maryland.
